Methyl salicylate (oil of wintergreen) is an organic compound with formula C₈H₈O₃. It is a clear liquid with a sweet, minty smell. People use it in creams and rubs to ease sore muscles and joint pain.

It is Colourless / yellowish / reddish liquid, with characteristic odour of wintergreen.
